This is wild carrots that I dug up last summer. I saute'd them in olive oil to preserve them. Then I put them in the freezer for a winter soup.
Swiss chard from the garden. LOTS of it! But when cooked down...I believe we got 14 quarts for the freezer.

Green beans....a lot of green beans....when I have things like this...I think....not sure I like the industrial level....I like manageable amounts....I talked to the seed company & the seed company said pretty much this is how they come on two huge crops & they are DONE for the season...I can not complain...love green beans.
Pickled water melon rind. My Grandparents made this & I love the taste of it...I owe a jar to an Uncle of mine....for memory sake.

Canned apple pie filling! It is the best!!!! During the next year you just take a jar, make pie crust & dump in the filling & it is done...my favorite topping is the crumble topping YUMMY!

My new sauce maker....makes making sauce a dream! Didn't even hardly feel like we made sauce! Next picture is salsa for me! Then tomato sauce I used that sauce maker. I love home canned tomato sauce!

PICKLES....I think pickling is my favorite of all canning! I had to buy those cucumbers I am very sad to say....from the farmers market....but glad I could. This recipe is from my Grandma Marie...it is made for each quart...so you make each jar of pickles...one jar at a time as you have cucumbers.

Mulled cider. YUMMY...you can not believe how good it smelled. I saved the pulp & added more raw apple juice to it & made apple sauce out of the pulp. YUMMY...Bessie said it tasted like apple butter!

I planted crab apples in my front yard. This year I had enough to make crab apple jelly! I also made apple sauce out of bought apples from an orchard & then I tried pumpkin butter for the first time! WOW! It screams YUM!
